I don't have a car yet!!!! Yeah I'm a high school senior and I worked construction all summer. Made about $3200 and spent all of it on gear. The sad part is that I made that much last summer and spent all of it on gear as well. Sooner or later my parents aren't gonna let me drive their cars anymore. I think I need group therapy, i.e. GA-Gearheads Anonymous

GAS poll At first I was like meh 100-500. But then I figured i'd add up all my gear and divide it by 3 (how many years i've been playing). I almost fell off my seat! Easily over 800 a year just in the gear that I could think of off the top of my head. And I don't even have any expensive amps either. I might even be over 1k a year with cables, strings, ect but i just don't want to admit i might be in that catagory when I don't even have a real job.
Once i've got a well paying full time job (i'm in a growing partnership right now, so things might change if we grow) i'll be spending much more than just 2500 on gear. :D |

a few sence short of a dollar at the beginning of the year i had a nice fender strat and a 68 accoustic. sold the fender and now i have 15 guitar/basses with a couple on the way. i've been retired for 5 years. i need to get off ebay and get a job before my wife gets a divorce.
