i know nothing about all the magazines, but i got a letter from guitar world telling me a special offer. 12 issues for 12 dollars. now i'm not a rocket scientist, but i think that's a great deal. so i went for it. my first issue will arrive in 4-6 weeks. whaha.

Guitar World is a great mag - great tabs and good articles. The only thing I don't like is in their interviews they do tend to over glorify the "drugs" part of "Sex, Drugs, and Rock & Roll".

It's not a problem most of the time - but I think Guitar Player does a little better job of focusing on the Rock & Roll part.

Of course...your mileage may vary!

In with theold out, with the new.
The best mag for guitarist is world of acoustic. Older the guitars better the sound. New guitars are good but not as good as the old ones. Thank You

Hi Jimdawg. Welcome to the forum. I don't think I've ever seen that magazine, either. I'm a two time subscriber to Guitar Player. The first time was about thirty years ago! I let it lapse after several years and picked it up again about twelve years ago.
