Talking Tabs: Play It Now Tunes

Play It Now Tunes

I was browsing through my latest Guitar Player and ran across a new vendor providing song lessons in an innovative format.

From their website:

Stop struggling with other guitar methods. Play-It-Now Tunes lessons on CD provide step-by-step, easy-to-follow audio instruction that makes learning to play songs easy, fun and very effective.

I think this would be pretty cool to rip these to my iPod and play through my MFX. I may order one or two of these and let you know how they work.

Seymour Duncan P-Rails - 3 Pickups in One

Seymour Duncan P-Rails

I’ve been wanting a P-90 guitar for along time, but have not really found one that I *had* to have. However, I ran across this sweet new pickup from Seymour Duncan called P-Rails! Single coil tone, P-90 tone, and humbucker tone all from one pick-up. Looks like the new ESP LTD PB-500 will have them!

Check out the product page!

Digitech HarmonyMan

Digitech HarmonyMan

Here’s a new product that I found to be pretty cool. It’s the new HarmonyMan from Digitech. It’s based on the same chord tracking technology as their Vocalist products. Unlike most pitch shifters - chords do not mess this baby up, in fact it reads the chord progression and creates matching harmonies.

You can combine up to two distinct voices in any combination to accompany the input signal such as a 3rd or 5th above or below, an octave up, and two octaves below. All in all, 24 semitone and 4 detune variations. It has a similar housing to the JamMan which I have and really like.

It’s pre-order only right now so be on the lookout. Here’s the product page to stoke the G.A.S.
