More on the multi-effects front - TC Electronic Nova System

Nova System

So far we’ve highlighted the Line 6 X3 Live, the Digitech RP500, and the Zoom G9.2tt (review coming!) MFX units. All of which have their advantages and disadvantages.

I received an e-mail from TC Electronic asking us to take a look at their new NOVA System. I like the fact that the drive circuit is analog for that crispy pedal sound. The footprint is reasonable as well. Might actually fit on a pedal board.

TC Electronic Nova System Guitar Effects Floor Processor Features:
Floor-based guitar multi-effects pedalboard
Effects all analog, digitally controlled (no modeling)
28 effects set up in seven blocks
G-System effects: distortion/overdrive, compression, EQ, noise gate, modulation, pitch, delay, and reverb
30 factory presets, 60 user presets
Two footswitch layouts: pedal and preset
Optional G-switch

  1. Comment by Gollum:

    Very cool.

It always impresses me that even on videos and such the tone from TC Electronics stuff just sounds so “finished”, “real”, and just plain GOOD. Not muddy, not hissy, not buzzy. The effects always seem lush, rich, and warm. It’s scary how good they sound even when watching camcorder videos of people on youtube. I just sit there and think “I can’t get a line 6 vetta to sound that good in the pefect scenario”. Something about their effects just stand out as quality.

Are we going to get a full on review in the future Dan?

  2. Comment by Daniel Halberg:

I hope so…and probably! They would like us to review it, but are having trouble keeping up with demand at the moment. I’ll keep you posted on any ETA.
