New Product Digitech RP500

Well the multi-effects space is still red hot. I noticed that Digitech recently released the RP500 a high-end model in their popular RP series. I like the new, more modern look of this model. I also like that the letters are big - that is a good thing on a dark stage where you look dopey if you bend down to see what patch you are on.

I wish they would redo the GNX4 - It’s still a great machine, but needs a serious style update.

If anyone grabs a hold of one of these babies - let me know how it sounds!

Sorry Dan, I’m gonna have to disagree with you on this one. I think it looks like a cheap prop conjured up by the prop department from the 60’s Star Trek or (gasp) 80’s Buck Rodgers television series’. The six knobs in the middle look like they were taken from the AM radio of an old Buick. The expression pedal looks like a bumper step… sorry.

I think it looks a lot better than some of the other Digitech stuff. I also like the large lettering, making it easier to read while playing.

Still not a “good” looking for board IMO. Still looks like it’s made in china. Maybe it’s different in person.

Now the TC Electronics Pedals… Now THOSE look nice to me.

Oh man - I used to love Buck Rogers. Wilma was hubba hubba!
