by Rick Landers. We first met Rev Jones at Winter NAMM 2006 in Anaheim, California. Modern Guitars photographer, Brent Peters, and I were running through our scheduled booth visits when we noticed a couple of guys walking through the Dean Guitars area, one with a shaved and tattooed head topped with a Medusa-like coil of dreadlocks. Later, I discovered he is one of the most formidable metal bassists on the planet. Rev has an unbelievable stage presence. He dances, contorts, kicks, and launches into a zany caricature of punk menace while performing magical feats of musicianship on his bass and other stringed axes. And, unlike most musicians, Rev Jones isn't glued to one group - he manages to contribute to three at the same time: The Michael Schenker Group; Kottak; and Black Symphony...
