Eric Clapton has announced today what may prove to be the biggest news of the year for fans of electric guitar music: Chicago's Toyota Park will host the 2007 Crossroads Guitar Festival on July 28, featuring Clapton, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, Derek Trucks, B.B. King, Jeff Beck, John Mayer, Robert Randolph, John McLaughlin, Sonny Landreth, Willie Nelson, Hubert Sumlin, Jimmie Vaughan, Sheryl Crow, and many others. Tickets for the event go on sale at 10 a.m. Central Time on March 31 via Ticketmaster (online and phone - see press release).
