Description:
You should print out/photocopy 14 copies of this. You will need to complete each page 2x per day for the next 7 days (or until I can send out another lesson!). This will mean that you will have copied at least 70 fretboards. You can obviously do more if you are so inclined. Your best results will come if you do a little bit each day - rather than copy all 70 at once next Monday.

Some things to try:
1) Place your guitar horizontally on the table in front of you if possible.
2) After each chart try to "take a picture" with your mind and then try to transfer that mental picture by visualizing it on your guitar's fretboard.

Submitted Date:  2004/1/27
Description:
This week we are going to focus on 4 fret groups. Typically, there is a tendency to try to figure out a note based on the open note position (at least that is my tendency!) This lesson tries to frame the fretboard into positions. Being able to start from any fret and visualize the notes in the general area without referencing the open position will greatly enhance your ability to "see" scales and chords using the CAGED system.
