I'm a technician by trade and when I chose the Boss ME-25 I was looking at what it had to offer
it has an abundance of effects off the shelf it easily backward compatable with other ME devices in the sense that whats out there for patches can easily be brought over to the ME-25 thats for starters. you have all you need at your fingers to write your own patches to your desire and what i was looking in addition was the 38 second looper for that added rhythm or base beat to resonate my playing experience. it comes with Sonar 8.5 LE which is more than enough for the intermediate player My appreciation for this gear goes beyond just the features the way they laid this out is well thought out and its in a pretty rugged metal case It patched into my netbook with a USB and im using iTunes to play along with songs just so cool.I've used my HeadPhones and the Audio is Awesome I've patched into my suroundsound theater system and I thought i was listening to a well recorded CD I've played thru my spiderIv Amp and it just blows my ears away.
although some may have issues with the pedals being too close I dont have a issue I have small feet but if you have a extra A/B pedal switch that will resolve that issue. I just bought this puppy as my 55th Birthday present and it's about the size of the Boss D3 Drum Machine which I have not6 including the Wah pedal...finally a wah pedal that does what you would expect it to do.

Anyway I wont be getting rid of this ever!

  The MarkOne Audio SwitchBox is a three channel active ABC pedal used for signal switching. I use it to plug three guitar into my amp both on stage and in the studio. It has active electronics which mean that you can switch channels silently and it also only switchs between inputs that are plugged in. It looks great in black with pink writing and blue lights and is nice and compact so fits nicely on my pedal board. Nice and solid construction as well and its hand made in england so you know its going to be good quality.
